Yay for good news!
| Referred to Schedule EOD | 9/25/2009 | You have been referred to the scheduling unit. Generally an applicant can expect to be contacted to schedule their entrance on duty and/or training in 30 - 60 days. Depending on an applicant's selected locations scheduling calls could be extended an additional 30 days or more. |
So now I officially wait for a job offer. its looking like 90 to 120 days or possibly more. Fingers crossed its less.
Bear Flats

We saw so many different animals this trip. Tons of raccoon and dear, some elk, ring tail cat, fox, turkey, skunks and lots of squirrels. We love taking a break from our sometimes hectic life and going up to our honeymoon spot.

Great news!- Update!
Last Wednesday, Zane received a call from the hiring office stating that he needed to re- take his drug test. Now, his drug test expires after 18 months and it had only been about a year, so that seemed a little weird but this whole process has been weird. We went on about our day and he scheduled his drug test for the next day. I kept getting a nagging feeling to check his status update site, so we checked and...........
HIS BACKGROUND CHECK IS CLEARED FINALLY!!!!!
This is just about the best news we've gotten these last 6 months. So now we've probably got another 120 days (which is the average wait time) for him to get a job offer.
So, these next few months Zane will be nippin that gut in the butt and gettin ready for the academy a lot harder.

Frustration
I bet you're wondering why I'm posting about a jewelry box.... Zane gave this to me just before we moved. As you all know we worked at a funeral home together. Zane would go back and forth from a crematory in Wilcox (45min away) all the time! He convinced the guy who makes some of their urns to make this jewelry box. Isn't that cool! I love his creativity :)
I've really had a hard time these past few weeks staying positive, so this is more for my benefit then yours... not that it would even benefit you in the slightest lol.
10 things that make me smile...
1- When Zane comes in from working a night shift at 4:30 in the morning, he always snuggles with me.
2- taking a picture that turns out perfectly
3- listening to my nephew call me "nannie" because he can't say mandi (so cute!)
4- making something all by myself
5- painting (so relaxing)
6- fresh flowers
7-reading a good book in bed
8-listening to my favorite hymns
9- hot chocolate
10- yellow
I'm gonna go grab some hot chocolate and crawl into bed and read my book.

Parker LOVED doing it all by himself
